| (Submitted by Brian Wilson - Trip taken Dec 9 08) Ushuaia Argentina is located in the province of Tierra del Fuego on the southern tip of Argentina. Most trips to Antarctica start here, mine also. Its a town of 55,000 with lots to do, and it is home to Aeroclub Ushuaia, which claims to be 'The Southernmost Aero Club in the World'. EMails sent before leaving Canada were unanswered, so with a phone call I found out its no problem to book a dual flight. LV-LCF is a PA 28 140 ,150 HP that goes for 170.00 USD dual. Had a great 2 hour flight , the weather was not the best but it was the most interesting flight I have ever had. The best days to fly would be Monday Wednesday or Friday because circuts are allowed at Puerto Williams Chile, 27 miles down the Beagle Channel. More information www.aeroclubushuaia.org.ar |
